Our Philosophy

Long ago, all the animals in a jungle assembled and decided to do something worthwhile. They started a school. The curriculum included a variety of life skill activities like running, climbing, swimming, flying etc. All the animals were eager to study as much as subjects as possible.
The duck was excellent in swimming and graded above all other animals in that. But she passed in flying in low grade and failed in running. Hence she skipped the swimming school and concentrated in running. This caused her web feet to worn badly and as a result she had to satisfy with average grade in swimming. As average was acceptable it did not cause worry to anyone, except duck.
The rabbit was top in the class of running, but developed a cramp in his leg because of his over work in swimming class.
The squirrel was excellent in climbing, but became frustrated in flying class because the teacher made him start from the ground up instead of from the treetop down. He developed ‘charlie horses’ from overexertion and got only a ‘C’ in climbing and ‘D’ in running.
The eagle was a problem kid and was severely disciplined for being a non-conformist. He beat all others in climbing to treetop, but he insisted in following his own way…

Sydney Home School is envisaged as an arena to mould each kid in accordance with his/her inborn talent, skill, intelligence etc. The school is based on ‘multiple intelligence theory’ put forward by Dr. Howard Gardner, the famed educational psychologist. The school is stationed in the home of the kid, itself. A child is similar to a seed. The seed can be kept hidden and eventually it may wither out. The seed can be sold out or it may be given free to someone to plant. Instead, we can put the seed in fertile soil and water it to grow into fruit bearing tree.

Hence Sydney School. It is the fertile soil where we can plant our seeds. Let it be a unique initiative to mould an intelligent as well as innovative child.


It is a unique way of designing the home of the child in the form of a kindergarten. It is not the method of conducting school in home, instead the home itself becomes school.
